Toontrack has released a new MIDI pack filled with pre-made drum loops. Songwriters Drumpack 2 is organized into separate songs featuring intros, verses, pre-choruses, choruses, bridges and fills. Don’t forget to tweak them a little if you want them to be your own. All in all it’s ore than 450 individually played files.
Toontrack Music has released Steven Slate presets for Superior Drummer 2.0. They work with the core sound library and includes seven different presets with rocky titles: Basic Rock, Cranky Funky Rock, Fat Metal, Fat Rock, Lively Rock, Punchy Rock, Radio Rock , all of which were engineered and designed by Steven Slate.
Another of those “no-brainer” deals from audioMIDI, this time it’s Toontrack’s Drumtracker for $20. Drumtracker is a multi-track audio to MIDI converter, specifically designed to convert drum session audio recordings to MIDI files for drum replacement purposes. Offer ends August 31.
Toontrack has announced that Beatstation is now available.

What I’ve seen so far, Beatstation doesn’t look very interesting to me. I have to admit though, it’s pretty cool that you can use your EZX’s and SDX’s with it.

Toontrack has announced the latest expansion pack for Superior Drummer 2.0. “Music City?”, you ask, “Nashville of course!”, replies any cowboy worth his hat and snakeskin boots. With Music City USA, Toontrack has again worked with Harry Stinson and Chuck Ainlay, both of which were involved in the Nashville EZX. The Nashville EZX was actually my favorite expansion pack for EZ Drummer (for many styles of music).

Toontrack has posted a teaser video on a new website for a new product – Beatstation. Looks like something that will want to give Stylus RMX and Transfuser a run for the money. The REX support makes it interesting and I applaud them for making the interface skinnable (is that a word?) but do we really need another product like this? The ones that are out there are pretty good so Beatstation better be badass.
Platinum Samples has announced the release of Joe Barresi’s Evil Drums SDX Expansion Pack for Toontrack Superior Drummer 2.0. This is the first time that third-party libraries have been released for Superior Drummer.

Toontrack has announced the release of a new metal MIDI pack, featuring Dirk Verbeuren who’s known for his work in Soilwork, Scarve and Aborted. Enter Library of the Extreme – Blasts & Fills is the name and it contains of more than 1000 MIDI files played by Dirk.
