Prosoniq has announced version 2.3.1 of their time-stretching software TimeFactory. Besides bugfixes, this version provides optimizations to the original algorithms, giving it as much as a 4-6x speed increase on average when compared to previous versions. It’s a free download for all registered users.

Prosoniq has announced the immediate availability of an update for TimeFactory 2 for MacOS X. This new version - 2.3 - adds support for BWF files as well as some minor UI and compatibility changes. TimeFactory 2.3 uses the latest version 1.4 of the time stretching engine DIRAC.

Prosoniq have announced the immediate availability of version 2.2 of their TimeFactory software for MacOS X. This is a free update for all TimeFactory 2 users and it is available from their website.

Version 2.2 is a service release that fixes several bugs that were present in earlier version and improves stability and overall performance. It also adds time stretch/pitch shift user presets as well as an “auto-apply” feature that applies all parameter changes directly to the selected files without having to click the “apply settings” button manually. This update is a recommended download for all TimeFactory 2 users.

Prosoniq announce the immediate availability of version 2.1 of their award winning TimeFactory 2 software for MacOS X. TimeFactory 2.1 is a 32/64bit universal binary application that has been optimized for MacOS X 10.5 Leopard and makes full use of its new memory management and 64 bit addressing capabilities. A version for OS X 10.4 is also provided with the download. This update incorporates several bug fixes and is a recommended download from the Download->Updates page for all TimeFactory 2 users. A new version of the demo has also been made available from the Prosoniq Download->Demos page.

This version fixes a potential crash when the application was launched and the prefs settings were invalid. It also allows automatic updating on machines where the current user is not the administrator and fixes several minor bugs. This update is recommended for all users of the software.

Prosoniq announce the immediate availability of version 2.0.7 of their award winning TimeFactory 2 for MacOS X software. This version fixes a bug in connection with Apple’s latest security and firmware updates that could cause TimeFactory to refuse to launch due to a permission problem. Is also fixes problems with the authorization that would cause the authorization dialog on some systems to appear on each launch. This update is recommended for all users of the software. Please note that this update requires that you enter your serial number again so make sure you have it handy before installing it.

I asked Prosoniq about the MPEX3 pause issue mentioned in the review of Timefactory 2 and I got this response:
I got in touch with our developers and they say that the pause you were observing is due to a bug in 2.0.0-2.0.4 that causes the MPEX3 processing latency not to be compensated for. This will be addressed in 2.0.5
There are a few good things to note here:
1) They are fast as hell to respond!
2) I wasn’t insane and didn’t do wrong.
3) They are working on a solution.
