The Sonalksis Mastering Suite is now released

Long time in the making and long time in beta, but the Sonalksis Mastering Suite has finally arrived. The bundle consists of four plug-ins mainly intended for mastering but also for “[...] producers, and other industry professionals who cannot compromise quality and reliability in their work”.

The Sonalksis Mastering Suite contains:

MultiLimit - Multiband Mastering Limiter
Maxlimit - Maximizing Mastering Limiter
StereoTools - Stereo Imaging Processor
Ultimate-D - Dithering

I’ve come to expect quite a bit from Sonalksis so they damn well better be good!

The Sonalksis Mastering Suite soon to be released

Sonalksis has announced that their mastering plug-in series, Sonalksis Mastering Suite (previous post, and another one with more pics), has just finished the last beta stage and will shortly be released to the public.

The Sonalksis Mastering Suite consists of a select range of plug-ins intended for “Mastering Engineers, Producers and other Industry Professionals”.

MultiLimit - Multiband Mastering Limiter
Maxlimit - Maximizing Mastering Limiter
StereoTools - Stereo Imaging Processor
Ultimate-D - Ultimate Dithering

All the plug-ins will be available in VST, AU, DirectX and RTAS versions, according to their platforms, OS X 10.4/10.5 and Windows XP/VISTA.

Digidesign TDM versions will be released later in the year.

Sonalksis Essentials Mk2 update

New improved versions of the Sonalksis Essentials Mk2 plug-ins containing both bug fixes and improved features are available for download now.

The 2.04 update is available in the “Software Download” area at the Sonalksis website.

The Sonalksis Mastering Suite consists of a select range of plug-ins for Mastering Engineers, Producers and other Industry Professionals.

  • MultiLimit - Multiband Mastering Limiter
  • Maxlimit - Maximizing Mastering Limiter
  • StereoTools - Stereo Imaging Processor

The release is scheduled for early Q2 2008 for native versions (OSX/WIN,VST/AU/RTAS). TDM versions are planned for release during 2008, further announcements regarding this will follow later in the year.

Sonalksis announces collaboration with Toontrack

Sonalksis today announces a strategic and operative collaboration with Toontrack Music during the ongoing development of their next professional sample engine for drums, Superior Drummer 2.0.

Toontrack Music has chosen Sonalksis as the responsible development partner for the development of the built in FX section provided in Superior Drummer 2.0. The FX section will consist of a 5-band EQ, High and Low pass filter, Gate, Compression and a Transient Designer, based on technology from the renowned Sonalksis award-winning plug-ins.

SPOTLIGHT: EQs - Conclusion

Now that we have featured fourteen EQs totally in our series of Spotlights on EQs, as well as reviewed two in conjunction with these Spotlights, I think we should wrap this baby up with sort of an “ultimate conclusion”. There are of course many more EQs out there, but we can’t run Spotlight on EQs only, we have to make room for other stuff as well.
