I was very excited when Softube told me about two of their new products they were working on, Spring Reverb and Tube Delay. First of all, I’m a delay-junkie. To me room equals delay, and I don’t care for most type of reverb, though I usually end up using one in my mixes nowadays. Second of all, this reverb was a spring reverb emulation, not another convolution one. Third of all, they were made by Softube!

The wait is over. The Pro Tools HD version of Tube-Tech CL 1B is now shipping. The plug-in is a emulation of the hardware all-tube optical compressor unit with the same name and has been developed as a collaboration between Lydkraft, Softube and TC Electronic.

Softubes Vintage Amp Room was released quite some time ago for Powercore and TDM users. It took a while, but it has now found its way to native users as well. In case you didn’t know, it’s more or less an amp simulator that goes the opposite direction that other amp sims have done the last years.
