SAE Liverpool and MTV Liverpool Music Week have announced an official program of audio educational events during the 30 Oct – 6 Nov. Everything from “introduction and learning more about various aspects of the audio industry – from intimate recording sessions to mixing and sound design”.

JVC Professional Europe Ltd. has teamed up with the SAE Institute to include television broadcast facilities for SAE campuses worldwide.

Closer ties between the two companies will see the beginnings of a number of co-marketing programmes and commercial activities, and will also provide SAE film students with the opportunity to broaden their videography skills even further with access to state-of-the-art equipment and resources. Specific details of this extraordinary deal will be announced very soon.

The SAE Alumni Association is pleased to announce the start of the submission period for the 4th SAE Alumni Awards. As in previous years, the winner in each category can look forward to great prizes, namely a brand-new iMac and a cash prize of €3.000. This time, we are accepting submissions for the following five award categories: Music Production, Multimedia, Short Film, 3D FX/Animation, and (for the first time ever) “Creativity First”. The competition is open to students and graduates of state-run and private educational institutions around the world. The 2008 SAE Alumni Awards are presented under the patronage of a committee composed of representatives of the media industry and of SAE Institute. Submitted projects will be reviewed by a panel of industry professionals and representatives of the SAE Alumni Association. The winners will be officially announced during the Awards ceremony at the SAE Alumni Convention Party (www.sae-alumni-convention.org) in Berlin on October 16th, 2008.

SAE Institute are already established in providing degree-standard audio, film and multimedia education, but 2008 is shaping up to see the biggest shake up of the UK operation to date. The latest development sees SAE London move from it’s current location at Caledonian Road to a much more modern 7-storey campus – and in doing so SAE Institute will be expanding the campus to accommodate more students with even more resources.
