Prosoniq has announced version 2.3.1 of their time-stretching software TimeFactory. Besides bugfixes, this version provides optimizations to the original algorithms, giving it as much as a 4-6x speed increase on average when compared to previous versions. It’s a free download for all registered users.
Prosoniq has announced the immediate availability of an update for TimeFactory 2 for MacOS X. This new version - 2.3 - adds support for BWF files as well as some minor UI and compatibility changes. TimeFactory 2.3 uses the latest version 1.4 of the time stretching engine DIRAC.
Prosoniq have announced the immediate availability of version 2.2 of their TimeFactory software for MacOS X. This is a free update for all TimeFactory 2 users and it is available from their website.

Version 2.2 is a service release that fixes several bugs that were present in earlier version and improves stability and overall performance. It also adds time stretch/pitch shift user presets as well as an “auto-apply” feature that applies all parameter changes directly to the selected files without having to click the “apply settings” button manually. This update is a recommended download for all TimeFactory 2 users.
Prosoniq announce today that their current VST/RTAS product line will soon be available in AudioUnit format for the Intel and PowerPC Mac models running MacOS X 10.4 or 10.5 (Leopard). Their first AudioUnit product, the AU version of the critically acclaimed “Prosoniq morph” realtime audio morphing plug in will hit the stores the week before Christmas.

Prosoniq today announce the end of their product support for MacOS 9 starting January 1st, 2008. With the beginning of 2008 all OS 9 products and technologies will be discontinued and removed from the product portfolio and web site. If you are still using products under Apple’s MacOS 9 or within the Classic environment of MacOS X we recommend you either upgrade to the MacOS X version of the product (if available) or make sure you download all relevant update and support files from our web site before the end of this year.
Over the past months Prosoniq have been silently working on converting their existing MacOS 9/Carbon code to the new MacOS X Cocoa platform. This important transition has become necessary to provide you with new versions of their products for the 32bit and 64bit Universal Binary flavors of Apple’s MacOS X in 2008. Aside from several new and unique products that are currently being worked on the release schedule for the second quarter 2008 includes a new version of their popular and award winning OrangeVocoder and the Prosoniq morph plug ins for the Intel Macs. More details on supported plug in formats, features and pricing will be announced at MusikMesse which is held March 12th-15th, 2008 in Frankfurt, Germany. TimeFactory 2.1 is a 32/64bit universal binary application that has been optimized for MacOS X 10.5 Leopard and makes full use of its new memory management and 64 bit addressing capabilities. This version fixes a potential crash when the application was launched and the prefs settings were invalid. It also allows automatic updating on machines where the current user is not the administrator and fixes several minor bugs. This update is recommended for all users of the software.
Prosoniq announce the immediate availability of version 2.0.7 of their award winning TimeFactory 2 for MacOS X software. This version fixes a bug in connection with Apple’s latest security and firmware updates that could cause TimeFactory to refuse to launch due to a permission problem. Is also fixes problems with the authorization that would cause the authorization dialog on some systems to appear on each launch. This update is recommended for all users of the software. Please note that this update requires that you enter your serial number again so make sure you have it handy before installing it.
