Native Instruments has launched a Kontakt 3 crossgrade offer for owners of the now deceased GigaStudio. From now until December 31st 2008, owners of any version of Tascam GigaStudio can get Kontakt 3 for a reduced price of $279 / EUR 249. I wonder what took them so long.

Native Instruments has released Massive Expansion Vol. 2, a new Kore Soundpack based on the Massive engine. The library features 200 synthesizer sounds (basses, leads, pads, and so on) for use in Kore 2 and the free Kore Player as well as the individual Massive synthesizer. Since this is a Kore Soundpack, all sounds of course features eight morphing sound variations per preset.

Massive Expansion Vol. 2 is available for download purchase in the NI Online Shop for a suggested retail price of $59 / 49 EUR.

Native Instruments has announced Traktor Pro and Traktor Scratch Pro, the latest versions of their digital DJ solutions with MIDI and time-code control. Native Instruments says Traktor Pro and Traktor Scratch Pro were designed with a focus on efficiency and ease-of-use. Richie and Grandmaster seems happy about it.

Native Instruments has released a free update that supposedly offers enhanced performance and compatibility, such as reduced CPU consumption, Leopard support, extended documentation alongside other various fixes. Perhaps even more interesting is the addition of a new amp model called BASS PRO for the recently released XE version of the software.

The 3.1.1 updates for Guitar Rig 3 and Guitar Rig 3 XE are now available as free downloads for registered users on the NI website.
