Back to reality…

And your son’s on crack… Wait a minute, wrong song.

Summertime is over for me and so is my pseudo-vacations with its less than usual blogging, family reunions, trips and just a wee bit work on top of that.

The coming weeks I’ll spend a fair amount of time on reviews as promised earlier. For this month I think I’ll try to focus on the limiter shootout but some other stuff will probably slip in there as well.

I’m on vacation… Sort of…

“Sort of” because I don’t really take vacations. But I’m keeping work to absolute minimum right now and try to enjoy the sun, the beer and all the other goodies that relates to Swedish summer.

I still try to update here every day but if you feel I’m a little abscent this week or if you don’t get any response on your emails you know why. I’ll be back full force next week with a lot of goodies (reviews and stuff).

Video bonanza!

Hi everyone,

After four hours of sleep (just one whiskey after I got back from Frankfurt) I got into the car for a ten hour ride to the cold, cold north of Sweden. Tomorrow I’ll try to upload as many of the videos I shot at Musikmesse. Stay tuned!

Going to Frankfurt for Musikmesse

Hi all,

After a huge sushi meal I’m now ready to take the train to Copenhagen and from there a flight to Frankfurt. I’ll try to cover the show as usual but it’s not until I write the first post that I know just how I will cover it. Short microblog posts? Emphasize on hands-on? Summing up-posts? I don’t know yet, we’ll see tomorrow.

I’ve set up a link in the right column for quick access to the Musikmesse related posts by the way.

I know this blog can at times be very software centric, but the products I’m most interested in this year are hardware instruments. Will the Waldorf electric piano finally be finished? (don’t count on it) what about the new Elektron product? I’m sure there will be something nice in the software department as well.

If you want to meet up you can drop by the Softube booth. I’ll be there a little every day and demo the… Well, you’ll have to wait and see.

What I’m hoping most for is that Sonnox have their Brittish pub set up…

Auf wiedersehen.

Finally home…

Hi guys and gals,

Finally I’m home after some 20+ hours of traveling. First thing tomorrow (Swedish time, not too long) I’ll start uploading a bunch of exclusive content from the NAMM show. Stay tuned.

Blog trouble

Hey guys and gal,

I’m having some serious with internet connection and especially uploading video here. I’ve shot a ton of stuff that I’ll prepare when I get back home. In the meantime you’ll just have to live with reading!

Thanks for you patience, and let me know if there’s anything in particular you want to see at NAMM!

NAMM coverage

Hi guys and gals,

I’m soon leaving for the NAMM show and will of course keep you updated on what’s going on. Hopefully you’ll see some exclusive videos and comments on hands-on experience.

So keep checking back!

Or sign up to the RSS feed if you’re truly cyberpunk…

Happy new year

Hi guys and gals,

I just wanted to wish you all a very happy new year and thank you all for your support. I’m honored to have you as my readers and without you this blog wouldn’t exist.

What’s in store for this year? I’ll let you know soon. I’ll take the time to relax for the rest of the evening but tomorrow it’s business as usual.

Thank you all again. I hope you’ll continue to stop by here this year as well.

More free instruments for Kontakt

Hi guys and gals,

I’ve updated the Free instruments for Kontakt post with a couple of new instruments in case you’re looking for some new sounds, a little inspiration, or just have too much space on your hard drive.

Major server crash

As some have seen we have experienced a lot of downtime the past 24 hours and for a short period of time massive data loss as well. Fortunately most of the site has been recovered (for a while there I thought we had lost everything since August 1st!) but some of it is gone. I apologize for the inconvenience. Believe me, if most of it hadn’t been restored heads would have rolled. I guarantee you that I will make everything I can to have the new ProTooler more stable then the mess we’ve seen lately.

itb

At the moment I’m living ITB, or perhaps in a box, but as soon as I’m halfway out the new site will be coming to a www near you soon, ready to kick some serious ass.
