Toontrack has posted a teaser video on a new website for a new product – Beatstation. Looks like something that will want to give Stylus RMX and Transfuser a run for the money. The REX support makes it interesting and I applaud them for making the interface skinnable (is that a word?) but do we really need another product like this? The ones that are out there are pretty good so Beatstation better be badass.
Beatstation is being aimed at beginners, kids, etc – it will not and is not intended to compete with the other apps you’ve mentioned! If you’re a pro I’d have it pretty much firmly on your ignore list.
