Waves Online Installer (WOLI) beta is here
Waves has obviously been working on an online installer called WOLI that’s now ready for public beta. So far it’s for Mac only.
From Waves:
WOLI is a small download engine that lets you pick exactly the plug-ins or bundles you need to install. Whether you need a single plug-in, the entire Mercury bundle, or anything in between, WOLI makes downloading your Waves easier than ever.
Here’s how it works: Download WOLI (only 1 MB), and select the bundles or plug-ins you need to install. WOLI will download and install only the bundles or plug-ins you have selected.

Yeah, just what I want to install on all my studio computers. A *beta* program from the most paranoid audio software company in the world which has full internet access.
If Waves stuff was priced sanely, and the company weren’t such total dicks about upgrades for software you have bought legitimately, then maybe I’d think about it.
Can you tell I’ve had BAAAAD experiences with them in the past?
