Making Sounds with Sampler
Three emails with offers just hit my inbox.
Ableton lets every customer who buys Live 8 before August 31st get Sampler for free. This includes users who upgrade from Live Lite.
Waves lets you buy the Tony Maserati Collection and the Silver Bundle with a 20% discount of the regular price.
A similar offer from McDSP is extended from the month of June, allowing you to purchase Emerald Pack or Classic Pack with a 20% discount. Their offer to purchase individual LE plug-ins for the price of $79 is also extended. Keep in mind that ‘LE’ in this case doesn’t mean ‘native’, they are lightweight versions of the regular products.
although if you’re interested in the full “Native” versions of the McDSP plug-ins (but don’t want the bundles) the best way to do it right now is to buy the $79 LE versions and then buy the upgrades, you’ll end up paying less than the full retail price. Revolver is an especially good deal – Native it’s $495 but you can buy the LE version for $79 and then get the Native upgrade for $195 so total cost = $274.
The other native plug-ins are all $295 so at $274 apiece there’s some money left in your beer fund!
