Native Instruments “Kompletely insane” offer
Native Instruments has just announced the “Kompletely Insane” offer, allowing you to purchase Komplete 5 for $399/€399. Despite Native Instruments are Berlin-based, they seem to forget that $1 does not equal €1.
Still a good deal though if you want the NI stuff. Komplete 5 includes Kontakt 3, Reaktor 5, B4 II, Guitar Rig 3, Akoustik Piano. Elektrik Piano, Battery 3, Massive, Absynth 4, FM8, and Pro-53
The offer is valid only throughout July 2009.
More on Komplete 5 at NI’s website.

…but €399 *may* include the VAT whereas $399 is subject to sales tax on top of that…

1 USD = 0.709207 EUR (1 EUR = 1.41003 USD)
399.00 USD = 282.915 EUR
ps: the sales tax I paid was 3.5% b/w

It’s depressing, but US / JPN companies stiffing (no pun intended) us Euro-types is nothing new.
Even at €399, this is a pretty amazing deal.

PS – that link that’s supposedly to NI is broken.

No it’s isn’t anything new, and it really sucks. That’s why I always point it out when I report about products with such pricing.
Thanks for the heads up on the link, should be fixed now.
