Good news! According to Avid/Digidesign, it’s now safe for everyone to update to 10.5.7. Or almost everyone. If you’re using a monitor with an HDMI interface, “you may want to hold of using 10.5.7 for now“, according to the man.
As always, use the combo updater and not the automatic updater in Leopard.

NO SAFE?
Thanks for noticing. My crappy Mac keyboard is dying on me and some keys don’t always respond anymore.
Be aware that updating will break the Euphonix Controller afaik… but I read that there’s a new driver available that should fix the issue. Thus, make sure you update to the latest.
Yikes, that’s pretty bad since Apple and Euphonix are in bed with each other!
OK, something completely of topic: IF propellerheads record has rewire onboard and IF it accepts all audio cards. Does that mean I can route audio into PT via record? I dare even ask: more than 18 inputs via rewire?
On my old Mac (Macbook) I could record fine with Protools LE 7.4. Now I’ve just updated to the new Macbook Pro- 10.5.7 and it won’t record. I just a bit fat band on the upper part of the recording area. Any ideas?
Thanks
