Hal Leonard releases Guerrilla Home Recording 2nd edition
I haven’t read the first edition (and actually hadn’t even heard of it until today), but this is a book written by Karl Coryat, proclaimed DIY enthusiast, about home recording. I got curious about who this guy was so I googled him. Apparently he’s a bass player, has written some books in the past, has a page on a wicked cool domain called pisspoor.com, and is desperate for a woman (no, I’m not making it up, check the bottom of the page).
Here’s what’s new in the 2nd edition.
From Hal Leonard
The revised edition is updated with a greater focus on digital recording techniques, the most powerful tools available to the home recordist. There are chapters devoted to instrument recording, humanizing drum patterns, mixing with plug-ins and virtual consoles, and a new section on using digital audio skills. And since, many true “Guerrillas” still record to analog tape, we have retained the best of that world. This edition features many more graphics than in the original edition
