Pettinhouse has announced the availability of DirectGuitar 2.1, a 9gb electric guitar sample library for Kontakt 2 and 3. All guitars have been directly recorded to a audio interface and is intended for use with amp simulators (or reamping I guess).

DirectGuitar 2.1 is an innovative 9Gb electric guitar sample library for NI Kontakt 2-3 direct recorded for amp simulator.
It means that the electric guitar has been recorded directly to the audio interface exactly like when you plug a real electric guitar into it. In this way you can add your favorite amp simulator such as NI Guitar Rig or Amplitube and shape the sound as you wish.

The update includes 3 new articulation:

1 – Unison Bends
2 – Tapping Maj scale.
3 – Harmonics.

The upgrade is availble for free for who bought DirectGuitar 2.0.

Upgrade is free, full library costs $119. DirectGuitar 2.1 is available now for download or in two DVDs.
