… and lets you try out odd shit like this. But when looking at it I start thinking that I maybe just should get a mixer with decent EQs and remove pretty much all the plug-ins!

In case you’re wondering:

  • 4 vocal tracks
  • 2 guitar tracks
  • 2 synth tracks
  • 2 bass tracks
  • 2 percussion tracks
  • 4 drum tracks (2x overhead, 2x room)
  • 1 squash aux
  • 4 stem aux
  • 1 main out aux
  • 1 track for print

McDSP Analog Channel AC1 (set to Neve) and Digidesign EQ3 1 band EQ on every track. McDSP G Console (both the EQ and compressor set to Neve) on the four auxes. VirSyn VTAPE on the main out aux.

There are 3 kickass comments ~ what do you think?

  1. Why do you use Digidesign’s EQ when you could use McDSP’s Filterbank?

  2. I like FilterBank, but I’ve had a habit of using the Digirack EQ for 1 band tasks since EQ II. It’s mainly for cutting out the lows.
