Massey is on a roll with his Massey Tools. The latest version includes besides the Talkback that I’ve posted about earlier, a WetDry + Mono -> Stereo, and a M/S encoder + decoder plug-in.

HD PCIe systems qualified with HP xw8600

Digidesign has announced that their HD PCIe systems are qualified with HP xw8600. Good work, I guess, but qualified with one PC only? I think you need more testers!

Worth to mention is that the HP xw8600 can hold four cards, and that it’s actually officially qualified to run a HD4 system without any expansion chassis.

Samplebase calling RTAS beta testers

By popular demand, Samplebase has put support for Pro Tools on the fast track. If you are interested in beta testing Satellite Pro for RTAS in your Pro Tools environment shoot an email to: rtas@samplebase.com. Simply describe you system setup, including the following:

1. Operating system
2. Pro Tools version
3. Audio interface
4. CPU speed
5. Ram amount

If you are chosen to participate, they will send you a welcome message with instructions on how to proceed. You will get Satellite Pro to beat the livin’ daylights out of. There will be a minimum commitment of 1 hour a week, so only serious testers need apply.

REFLECT 1.4 now available

SAE Institute are already established in providing degree-standard audio, film and multimedia education, but 2008 is shaping up to see the biggest shake up of the UK operation to date. The latest development sees SAE London move from it’s current location at Caledonian Road to a much more modern 7-storey campus – and in doing so SAE Institute will be expanding the campus to accommodate more students with even more resources.
