NAMM is drawing near
As I’m sure you know, NAMM starts soon. NAMM is a place to present new products, and I will of course do my best to report about what’s going on there. So what will be there? I’ve heard about a lot of new basses and guitars (yeah, like that was a surprise!) but as you know I don’t really write much about those kind of instruments here. Here are some of the things that I’ve gathered from around the web, and got told about in emails and press releases that have been sent to me.
Euphonix Artist Series. As reported about in the past. This could turn out to be a real Mackie killer.
McDSP will present three new products. I actually didn’t think they would announce them before NAMM, but they did. Here’s my previous report on them.
CEntrance will show their new AxePort USB Direct Box.
Nomad Factory have recently announced a lot of new plug-ins which probably will show at NAMM. These are really a challenge to other plug-in developers. Read my previous post on them.
I hear Spectrasonics are up to something. Word is it’s a synth. I assume a lot of people will be interested in hearing about what it is.
New software for Percussa Audiocubes will be available. Here are two old videos of them that I’ve posted in the past.
At least one new product for SSL Duende will be released. Of course a welcomed addition to any Duende user, that platform really needs a few more plug-ins.
Sonnox will show a new plug-in, the first since the departure from the Sony Oxford brand.
JZ Microphones, a former part of Violet Design, will show their recently announced Black Hole. It looks just as odd as many Violet Design microphones. Violet will by the way show two new microphones themselves.
Audio Ease will finally show Snapper.
Someone said that sE Electronics will show a couple of new microphones, but it could be the collaboration with Rupert Neve Designs that I’ve already reported about. They are, of course, interesting in themselves.
