PowerFX announced today they have released Sweet Ann, the first of their new line of vocal libraries which employs Yamaha’s VOCALOID2 upgraded software. Vocaloid software applications enable users to type in words and melody and have the vocal library “artist” sing back the input.

VirSyn has announced the release of TERA 3.2.1.
A new “free running” mode for the multi segment envelopes of TERA opens a new door to polyrhythmical sounds and “endless” ambient textures. Besides this the distortion unit goes stereo and many bugfixes are also included.

The Digidesign® Reference Monitor Series (RMS), shown at NAB 2007 last month, is now shipping. Currently the line includes two bi-amplified, near-field studio monitor designs — the compact RM1 and the bigger RM2.
I think I need to write this again just to clear out the rumors that have been buzzing on the web since the RMS were introduced: To my knowledge the RM1 and RM2 have nothing at all to do with the acquisition of M-Audio. They were co-developed with PMC (Professional Monitor Company).
